Sunni's Family
I am a wife, mommy, and teacher. I have been married to my high school sweetie for 9 years now. Shawn is the best husband that there ever has been. He would move mountains for me if I ask him to. He is a one of a kind man. Together we have 2 boys, Cooper-5, and Ryder-3. They are wild boys that are as boy as you can get. They are both excited to welcome a little sister into their world. Ryder is especially fond of the idea of having a little sister. He looks forward to being a big brother more than I have ever seen from a sibling. It melts my heart for him to see something pink and girlie and say, "Mom, Sunni needs THAT!" or "Mom, Sunni would love that."
Shawn is a hard worker. He works shift work at a plant near our home. He has been working there for 2 years now. It was very hard to get used to his hours and absense but we have finally made it. I believe it has brought us much closer together and strengthened out relationship. They do say that absense makes the heart grow fonder. We cherish out time together. Thats for sure. Since I am a teacher and only have weekends off during the school year and he only gets 2 weekends a month off--that makes 4 days a month we get to spend together. I sure do wish I could be a stay at home mom. Summer sure is sweet though (especially on his 7 off)!
I teach Pre-K at our hometown elementary school. I am going into my 5th year and absolutely love it. I love the kids at that age; getting hugs and I love yous. Their little brains are like sponges--grabbing on to everything. I also work with one of my very best friends which makes my job even more enjoyable.
Cooper is a typical 5 year old boy. He loves anything sporty and physical. He of course likes being lazy watching cartoons and playing Wii too. He is a very smart boy--sometimes too smart for mommy's own good. I had him in my class this past year and it was very nice.
Ryder is 3 and likes to do anything and everything Cooper does. If Cooper can do it, or is Cooper has it, then Ryder can do it and needs it too. Those boys are a pain sometimes but I sure do love them. They make my days brighter.
I can not wait to see how they are with Sunni. I can not wait to see how our little family changes and evolves with our little miracle baby.

Hi,
ReplyDeleteI am also a CDH mommy and I discovered that we have many of the same CDH friends. My son had a very LONG (nearly 7 months) CDH journey and we just brought him home from the hospital. (babymorrison2.blogspot.com)
I remember being just where you are. My heart aches for you. I wish I could do something to help take away the worry and fear that you are facing. It is such a hard road. It really is.
But please know that may of us are praying for Sunni and for you. I know it is hard to get through each day. If I can offer some support or answer any questions please let me know. I also know 4 other CDH mommies and I am certain that all of them would be more than happy to offer their support.
Praying that the Lord will give you just what you need for each day.
God bless,
Rose (just.enough.for.the.journey@gmail.com
