The Big Day!

As most of you know I left my home on Monday (Wow! 5 Days seems like weeks already!) to relocate to Houston for the rest of my pregnancy.  I wont whine too much since most of you have already heard all about it on Facebook, lol.  (IT IS HOT!!!)
The week before I left I found out how caring, loving, and giving the people around me are!  My coworkers surprised me with a sweet little going away prayer and very generous offering that will help Shawn and I SO much!  I was  floored and blown away by it all.  And not only that but they have been cooking for my little family every night that I have been gone as well.  It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about how much these ladies (and 1 guy) are supporting me, praying for me and my family, and just showing how loving people can be in difficult times.  I am really just speechless!  I cant find the right words to express my appreciation for all of them and everything they have done and are doing for me.  I definitely plan on returning the favor when I am able.  The very next day the mothers from my morning class brought me a HUGE basket filled with goodies.  Again, I could never say thank you enough to really express how much that touched me and how thankful I am!
Leaving was hard but I know Sunni is where she needs to be to have the best chance possible.  I had all of my appointments today and this is the story in a nutshell:  She only weighs 5 pounds, 14 ounces---which I thought was alarming since she was 5.2 a little over 2 weeks ago.  I just knew she was over 6 lbs.  Her heartbeat was 120 which again made me a little nervous but they were not worried......  And FINALLY, the BIG NEWS is that I will stay the night in the hospital Sunday, October 7th and they will induce early morning on the 8th!  So we should see Little Miss Sunni in 10 days!  I can not believe the time is already so close but I am so ready to get this started and meet my little girl.  CDH has changed my life and although I really despise it I can not change it and I am ready to see what God has planned for me, Sunni, and my family.
Please keep praying for us.  I know God is listening.  Please pray for her heart and lungs and a safe delivery.  Pray that things go smoothly and she gets ventilated and up to NICU with no major issues.  Thank you in advance.  I know there are thousands of you praying out there and that is so comforting!

  5. You've got this Whitney! I've been following and praying for you, Sunni and the rest of your family. God only gives what we can handle and He guides us through it all. I've had to let go of so much and continue to do so through all of this. It's not easy but it's deffinatly made me stronger and have more faith then I ever imagined. It's brought my husband and I closer and we know we can face anything together with God on our side... I pray the same for you. I also pray for a short NICU stay for y'all so that you can get home and thrive in that envirement. Please let me know if I can help in any way.
